We just love ice cream!
Trimmers Ice Cream truly is a family owned and family operated establishment. Jane, Jimmy, Lyndsey, and Kelsey (The Broadfield Family) took over Trimmers in 2017 and we have been loving it ever since. We pride ourselves on our commitment to family pricing which keeps our business accessible to our amazing community. When you come to Trimmers you are guaranteed fast, friendly, personal service (most likely by a member of the Broadfield Family) and delicious ice cream. We have Hershey and Purity hard ice cream and Upstate Farms soft serve. Our menu features a wide variety of toppings, sundaes, and delicious food. We always have new, exciting flavors of the month as well as rotating specials. We have plenty of lawn space for kids and dogs to play as well as picnic tables and umbrellas for relaxing. Come check us out and support local business!
"Yummy and Fresh"
We offer a wide range of flavors here at Trimmers. Proudly serving 14 Hershey's Hard Ice Cream flavors and ice cream from a local favorite, Purity Ice Cream.
We also serve Upstate Farms soft serve and frozen yogurt.
In September of 2005, Hugh and Kendra Trimm purchased Frosty G’s located just north of the village of Trumansburg on New York State Route 96. During the winter and spring months, they renovated the building by putting brand new siding on, adding a new roof, and replacing the side windows. They also thoroughly cleaned the inside, redid the floor, and bought two new soft-serve machines, adding an Icee machine at a later date.
Besides expanding the variety of ice cream flavors available, the Trimms added hamburgers, hot dogs, potato chips, salt potatoes and nachos to the menu. Kendra’s mother, Ann Russell, provided her special meat sauce. Hershey’s and Purity ice cream was available. Finally, the parking lot received a coat of blacktop. In April of 2006 Trimmers Ice Cream was open!
In 2017 Hugh and Kendra Trimm sold Trimmers to Jane and Jim Broadfield who currently run and operate the store with their daughters Lyndsey and Kelsey Broadfield.
